Tips for Responsible Travel
BEFORE YOU GO
READ ABOUT
✓ Educate yourself about the customs of the place you are visiting and the local people (eg: body language, eating habits, traditions, etc).
✓ Learn a few phrases/words of the local language.
✓ Read books, watch documentaries or movies related to the destination, search the internet, etc. The more you know about the place (history, politics, religion, etc) the more you will enjoy it while there.
✓ Lighten your luggage; weight restrictions on flights are due to the additional fuel used to carry heavier bags, so lightening your luggage reduces your carbon footprint.
✓ Save paper! Panas Adventures will contact you only by email. Check our correspondence via the screen and avoid printing at home.

✓ Respect cultural differences and adhere to local dress codes; in many countries it is etiquette to cover bare skin and remove footwear when entering sacred buildings.
✓ Interact sensitively with the locals. Show interest in and respect for their way of life and customs.
✓ Be considerate when taking photos and if it feels right, ask beforehand.
✓ Use locally run and, if possible, locally owned accommodations, restaurants, shops and other services.
✓ Eat at local restaurants and sample the local grown food and specialties. Avoid imported/branded food.
✓ Support local artisans and shop at local markets. Be careful when buying souvenirs and make sure they are not made from endangered species.
✓ Reduce your waste (avoid bottled water, use a reusable water bottle, buy products with minimal packaging to avoid unnecessary garbage, etc). Carry all litter and bury organic waste carefully
✓ Be mindful of your energy consumption. Remember to turn off the lights when you leave your room. Be aware of your water consumption and use bio-degradable products if necessary to wash in rivers and lakes.
✓ Follow the motto “leave no trace”.

Making a booking
Simply click ‘’Book Now’’ on your chosen departure date and you will be taken to our quick and easy online booking form.
Payment methods and deposit
We accept payments by debit card* (Visa and Mastercard) and credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, Discover and JCB).
To reserve your booking, we require a deposit of 10% per person, payable by debit or credit card at the end of the booking process. Please note, that if your inquiry is made less than 60 days prior to departure, a full payment by debit or credit card is required at the time of booking.
*The card should be issued for electronic purchases.
Your three-step check before departure
1. Confirming your Reservation email
As soon as we receive the deposit, we will send you full written reservation of your booking. On this email, you can find the 'Booking Conditions' and the invoice. You can also find the final date that payment is due and any other important information, like weather information of your chosen destination.
2. Confirming your Booking email
By receiving the full payment of the trip, we will send you a booking form to fill in, kit list and travel checklist to help you prepare for travelling and a Greek words/phrases list to get you into the mood.
3. 'Guaranteed to Go' email
You must wait until you receive the 'Guaranteed to Go' email before booking and paying for your own flights. You can check the trip status by contacting us anytime.
Attached to the ‘Guaranteed to Go’ email, we will send you the ‘Flight Details’ form to fill in.
We will always send a ‘Guaranteed to Go’ email at least 60 days prior the departure of the trip and never later than that.
Please note that we will never cancel a tour less than 6 week before the start of the trip except for force majeure!
Making changes
If any of the information given on your booking form should change, e.g. passport number or contact details, it is important that you advise us immediately.
Should you wish to alter your booking once it has been made please refer to the relevant section (number 4 and 5) at Booking Conditions

Please ensure that you are aware of the following important issues:
✔ Travel Insurance - Suitable travel insurance is mandatory for all the participants.
✔ Passports – Be sure that you have a validated passport
✔ Visas – If you need an entry visa, please ensure that you have adequate time to arrange these prior to departure.
