BRIEF ITINERARY
Day 1
– Arrival Day
Join at the Belle Helene hotel in Agios Georgios of Pagoi in the north-west of the island.
Note: A free of charge mini-bus group transfer may be provided, depending on the arrival times and locations of the participants.
Day 2
- Walking from Paleokastritsa to Agios Georgios of Pagoi
Transfer by mini-bus to the start of the walk. Walking the narrow footpaths among the olive groves all the way up to Lakones village, where we head in the direction of Aggelokastro (Angel Castle) – a Byzantine castle with incredible views. After we visit Aggelokastro, we turn west via dirt tracks and meet the beginning of the old Venetian footpath which will gently take us all the way down to sea level. Time to swim and rest in the arms of Agios Georgios bay. An excellent walking route with great views to the west coast and a 12th century Byzantine castle visit

Day 3 - Walk from Avlaki bay to Kerasia via multiple little bays
Morning transfer by mini-bus to Avlaki bay. We start walking southwards following the coastline. We enter the Natura 2000 protected area of Erimitis and pass consecutive little bays with beautiful views towards Albania having plenty of swimming opportunities to choose from! We make our way to Kerasia bay, via Agios Stefanos harbour, which is an excellent place to relax. After a restful lunch, we can extend the walk towards Kalami bay or enjoy a refreshing swim in the deep blue water. This win-win situation that guarantees an enjoyable afternoon. We return to our accommodation by mini-bus.

Day 4 - Walk around Antinioti lagoon with a bird specialist and swim on the north coast
Today we will be another different day! We will go to the Antinioti lagoon, the second largest in Kerkyra by mini-bus and explore the area accompanied by a bird specialist, happy to share his passion and knowledge of the island. On this day we won’t cover a big area, but we will keep a close eye to the details. At the end, we will have the chance to cross via the northern most point of the island and enjoy a swim on the north coast. We return to our accommodation by mini-bus.

Day 5
- Crossing the main mountain of the island and reaching its highest peak
Early start with a mini-bus transfer to the beginning of the walk. Start walking and gaining altitude till the beginning of Pantokrator’s plateau and Taxiarchis Chapel with its frescoes and magnificent views. Crossing the karst plateau, we head towards the peak of the mountain via rocky footpaths, under oak trees andamongst herbs. After reaching the peak, we will head down towards the village of Old Peritheia and visit the semi abandoned village which holds the mountainous character. We make our way down and off the mountain by following the traditional footpaths of its north side.All the way to the sea level and the Almyros beach from where a mini-bus will transfer us to our accommodation.

Day 6 – We visit the picturesque village of Afionas and the double bay of Porto Timoni for swimming
Today we stay local. Not going too far from Agios Georgios bay, we can easily visit places of a special beauty. We walk along the beach and start ascending the footpath that leads us to Afionas village on the top of the nearby peninsula. We will be surrounded by rewarding views towards the most north western Greek islands – our little diamonds in the sea. Descending towards the end point of the peninsula, we reach sea level at the double bay of Porto Timoni. Two little bays, resting together looking in different directions. We return to Agios Georgios by a short water taxi ride.

Day 7 - A day in Corfu town and a night walk amongst its narrow little alleys
Transfer from our accommodation to Corfu Town by mini-bus. Check into our hotel and have a free day for shopping/wondering around or cultural visits. Dinner all together at night and then we will have a night walk in the old town!
Day 8 – Departure Day
After breakfast our adventure ends.
